Before those of you who know what I'm talking about ask, there are several reasons.
The first one is that I just don't like it there much anymore. They update too quickly, and I never have any idea what's going on, since I don't have time to read back through all of it and they never give reliable recaps; any plots or things like that get resolved or aborted almost immediately, so there's never anything to do; and everyone, for the most part, pretty much gives minimal acknowledgment to my character's actions and existence. So I pretty much just have to go into a corner and RP my own little story. Which kind of defeats the whole purpose of an RP.
The second, and much more major, one can be described in two words: annoying moderator. However, since I feel particularly ticked and offended, I will use more than two words.
Originally, New Beginnings was just kind of a place to relax and have fun, without worrying about having four paragraphs per post and staying rigidly on topic. I mean, we had rules, but it was no big deal if you posted a one-liner or mentioned that the tuna you ate for lunch smelled bad, or linked to a Lolcat.
All that changed when one of the moderators decided to try and whip us into shape. It wasn't too bad at first; she pretty much just reminded us occasionally to stay on topic and try to make our posts longer if we were horsing around too much. Then, after a while, she started bugging us about it all the time, and being generally annoying. And we can't tell her to shut up and go away, because she can ban us.
Normally, I would understand trying to keep the board from being spammed all over the place; the thing is, she complains when you say something like 'Wow... I can't believe we're still going after 2000 pages!', or when you post anything less than four lines long (and those are some pretty freakin' huge lines!). The four-lines thing was especially unfair to me, considering that you can only stretch your posts out so far when the only people who actually pay any attention to you pretty much only do one-liners, and things that you can't really say much to. Seriously.
Even then, I was willing to tolerate it, and I did my best to do better; but today, proverbial straw meets proverbial camel's back. Today, I read back to see that several people-who-will-not-be-named-here had been posting picture after picture from Icanhascheezburger, and talking about random crazy things, stuff like that. The moderator, quite a few times, told them, with relative politeness, to stop. They did not do so for quite a while. Then, oblivious me got on to lurk for a little while, and one of the first things I said was 'Guess what? We're almost to Page 2000! WHOOOOOOOO!!!' And she gave me a warn. A WARN. After letting everyone else off scot-free all day long, she stained my previously perfect record for saying that we were at 2000 pages. So at this point, I'm about ready to blow steam out my ears.
For those of you with unfinished art requests from me, don't worry; I'll finish 'em. And I'll probably accept new ones, too. But as for the actual RP? Until the moderator stops breathing down our necks, and until everyone stops ignoring me all the time, I'm done.
I've been on this RP since page 482, and it really does make me sad to leave now. I've made lots of friends, developed my characters and writing skills, and had a blast; but there really isn't anything there for me anymore.
It's been fun. Thank you all, and God bless.
~Death of Sues~
EDIT: Okay, things have been resolved with the mod. It turns out she *did* warn lots of people before me. And that she's just trying to make the RP better. I shouldn't have gone rabid like that, and I feel terrible about it now. She's forgiven me for it, and we've made up.
I'm still probably just going to mainly be a lurker for a long, long while though; then maybe I'll reintroduce my characters and get started back up again.

I think I'm getting better at drawing wolves. XD

I agree 100%, if those illiterate morons were capable of intelligent thought, they'd be reading some literature worthwhile :/

Yeah, seriously. Like Narnia for example. Most people I know who like Twilight hate Narnia. And most of them hate Lord of the Rings too. As well as others like the Foundation series, or Splinter Cell.

Exactly! It just pisses me off to no freakin' end how that brilliant authors are just being shadowed by the 'Twilight craze'. Oh yes, let's encourage the new generation to want boyfriends who watch them while they sleep and could kill them at any second.
And, hey, let's just ruin the image of vampires. Let's make them SPARKLE.

If you feed me skittles, I'll fart rainbows!
Vampire or princess... Why choose when you can be both?
